Promote your healthy, vegan products to a wider audience …

...through the use of the VVF’s Healthy Vegetarian, Vegan and Dairy-Free symbols

The Vegetarian & Vegan Foundation (VVF) – Britain’s premier health and nutrition charity – has recently launched a set of symbols which can help you promote your healthy vegan products to:

• the growing audience of health conscious people looking to cut out or back on cholesterol, animal or hydrogenated fats as well as sugar or salt;
• vegetarians and vegans;
• dairy avoiders and allergy sufferers; and
• meat reducers, of which there are millions and whom buy a growing number of animal-free goods each year.

To qualify for use, products must not contain hydrogenated fats, exceed defined levels for sugar, fat and salt content or contain certain colours and preservatives. Based on UK Food Standards Agency and EC guidelines, the VVF's symbols are the only ones in the UK to guarantee that a product is not just vegan but healthy too so if your products qualify for their use they will be granted the 'gold star' of food symbols.

For a single fee of as little of £50, you can register and include the symbol of your choice on as many vegan products as you wish, enabling shoppers to see at a glance that they are not only veggie friendly but a healthier option too, helping to build both consumer confidence and sales.

Through working with the Vegetarian & Vegan Foundation there will be opportunities to further promote your products to both our supporters and the wider public, thereby helping to increase sales further. The VVF:

• support, as well as provide speakers for and one-to-one nutritional advice at, Viva!’s success regional Incredible Veggie Roadhows and national Incredible Veggie Show;
• run school talks and cookery demos in secondary schools across the UK;
• produce the magazine Veggiehealth;
• produce a range of helpful resources for the whole family including factsheets, guides, reports and wallcharts;
• produce recipe booklets and shopping guides; and
• run media and public campaigns – enabling us to promote symbol users.

Click here to apply for use of one or more symbols. Your application will be assessed within 28 days and if successful you will then receive a confirmation notice and invoice. Upon receipt of payment, we will send you artwork for the symbol of your choice.
